How We Research and Review

We aim to base practical plant-care advice on reliable horticultural information rather than repeating unsupported tips. Depending on the topic, sources may include the Royal Horticultural Society, university extension services, government or regulatory guidance, recognised botanical organisations and manufacturer documentation.

When a recommendation depends on plant species, season, light level, temperature or another variable, we try to explain those limits rather than present one rule as suitable for every situation.

Product guides are assessed using published specifications, intended use, size, compatibility, practical limitations and suitability for the type of indoor-growing setup being discussed. Where relevant, we compare manufacturer information with retailer listings so that model details are not confused with similar products.

We do not claim hands-on testing unless an article specifically says that a product was personally tested. If a recommendation is based on published information rather than first-hand testing, we make that clear.
